The DVD of Werner Herzog's mesmerizing Nosferatu: Phantom Der Nacht presents the film in widescreen letterbox 1.85:1 format, with one side featuring the film in German with optional English subtitles, and the other featuring the film in English (the English version is about ten minutes shorter than the German). The DVD boasts Dolby Digital 5.1 (for the German version) and Dolby Surround 2.0 Mono (for the English version). The special features, which are all included on the German side of the disc, include two U.S. theatrical trailers and a Spanish trailer, as well as an audio commentary by Herzog as interviewed by Norman Hill. Also included is a 15-minute behind-the-scenes featurette.
