To obtain maximum strength it is recommended to install these d-rings with bolts, lock nuts, and fender washers (wide diameter). This strong surfmount d-ring has a 4,000 lb. vertical pull weight rating*. The ring is welded together, not pressed. Its gradual taper creates a low profile tiedown attachement rising only 3/8' off the floor. *RATED CAPACITY: Also known as 'assembly capacity' or 'break strength' is the minimum load a complete assembly can withstand before failure in a laboratory pull test when the product is NEW. WORKING LOAD LIMIT: The maximum load weight a tie-down should be subjected to during normal use. To assist in making the proper tie-down choice the Federal D.O.T. requires the W.L.L. to be 1/3 of the Rated Capacity. Model # 40125-10-08 Features: 4,000 lb. rating (straight pull). WLL is 1,333 lb. capacity*. The tiedown attachment is secured with one 3/8' diameter mounting hole and a 1/4' rivet. This steel attachment is zinc coated to inhibit corrosion.
